Your company and admin settings
Overview
Access your Front company settings by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner of Front. Then, click the Company tab in the left sidebar. Based on your admin or role permissions, you’ll see the company and workspace settings available to you in this sidebar.
The list of features in this article include all available features in Front, though you may see differences depending on your plan and role. Continue reading for an overview of what you'll find in each section.
You can also click over to the Personal tab of the settings to view and edit your own individual settings.
Search your settings
You can search for any setting, teammate, inbox, tag, and more using the search bar at the top of the page. For instance, you can search the word product and all items related to this word that you have access to will show as results.
Settings sections
The sections within your company settings are grouped together in the left sidebar and allow you to manage the features for your team in Front.
The Admin homepage allows admins to quickly access teammates, inboxes, and rules. You will also find educational resources linked here.
Company features
Company settings are organization-wide controls that manage how your company is configured at the highest level. These settings apply globally and affect all workspaces within your account.
Team management
Teammates
Invite new teammates and manage their settings, create teammate templates, set up user provisioning, and download teammate activity exports.
Teammate groups
Create and edit teammate groups to easily manage lists of users for your rules and inboxes.
Resources
Ticketing
Create and manage ticketing statuses to track, organize, and resolve customer requests.
Tags
Create and edit company tags to automate and measure processes across all workspaces.
Custom fields
Create and manage custom fields for your contacts, accounts, teammates, inboxes, conversations, and application objects.
Workspaces
If your plan has the workspaces feature, you will be able to manage your workspaces here. If you’re a company admin, you’ll see all workspaces in the left sidebar. Otherwise, you’ll see only the workspaces you’re a member of.

Rules
Create and edit company rules to automate your workflows across all workspaces.
AI
Manage all Front AI features to streamline various tasks and improve your workflows.
Integrations
App store
Use the Front App Store to search for and enable your favorite tools to use with Front. See the full list of integrations here.
Developers
All apps: Add or create custom plugins to connect tools you use with Front.
API tokens: Create API tokens to manage custom workflows with Front.
General
Billing
Change your Front plan, manage add-ons, edit your payment details, and see your invoices. See these articles to learn more.
Deliverability
This is an important setting to configure if you are using Front with SMTP email channels, so that Front has optimal deliverability. See here for setup instructions.
Imports
Import your message history from Help Scout, Zendesk, or Freshdesk.
Preferences
These are company-level preferences that impact your overall Front account setup, including when conversations bump in shared inboxes, SSO setup, and additional contact preferences such as when to automatically create contacts.
Workspace features
Workspace settings are specific to each individual workspace in your account. If you have multiple workspaces, each one has its own set of settings and resources, which are managed separately and don’t carry over across workspaces like company settings do.

Teammates
The Teammates subsection under the workspace section allows workspace admins to invite and edit user settings for this specific workspace.
Teammate groups
Create and edit teammate groups to easily manage lists of users for your rules and inboxes.
Roles and permissions
View and manage teammate roles and permissions for your workspace. Front has two default roles: member and workspace admin. You can also create additional custom roles with specific permissions (available on the Scale plan or above).
Time off and shifts
View and schedule time off for your teammates. Create and manage shifts for your teammates to automate their availability during their work time so that conversations don't get assigned to them when they are not working.

Inboxes
Manage your team's shared inboxes and empty inboxes, and who has access.
Channels
Manage your team's shared channels and Front Chat chatbots.
Tags
Create shared tags that can be used by everyone in the workspace to track topics in your inboxes, automate workflows with rules, and power analytics
Views
Use views to create a custom-filtered view at a set of conversations you'd like your team to see.
Message templates
Shared message templates allow you to create templates that can be used by everyone in the workspace to increase productivity.
Signatures
Create and manage shared signatures and use dynamic variables to customize them based on the teammate using them.

Create rules and macros specific to the workspace you’re working with.
