Front has the product and operational standards and controls in place to comply with, and to help our customers comply with, privacy and data protection frameworks like the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This article describes some of the protocols and artifacts that we have implemented to align with such requirements.


Agreement and Notice Updates & Certifications

SaaS Services Agreement

Front's SaaS Services Agreement incorporates Front's Data Processing Addendum with the Standard Contractual Clauses applicable to Front’s service that the European Commission adopted in June 2021.

Privacy Notice

Front's Privacy Notice includes the specific details of personal data we collect and how we use it. This policy is publicly available on our website.

Cookie Notice

Included in Front's Privacy Notice is a Cookie Policy that explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our websites and mobile applications and in connection with our marketing activities, and how you may manage your cookie settings.

Data Privacy Framework

Front has certified that it adheres to the Principles of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Products & Services Privacy Notice

Front's Products & Services Privacy Notice describes how Front handles personal data as instructed by our customers in the course of providing certain features of our products and services to them, including through cookies and similar technologies. We engage in the activities described in this notice as a service provider to our customers and subject to our agreements with them.


Product Updates

Data Access, Portability, and Deletion

We have processes in the Front app and through our Support team that allow customers to request that their data be corrected, exported, or deleted. Here's how you can take action on your Front data:

  • Messages and conversations: Permanently delete a single message by clicking on the three-dot menu, or delete an entire conversation from Trash. 

  • Contacts: Send a request to our Support team with the contact you'd like to permanently delete. This will remove them and all their previous message history from Front.

  • Teammates: When you delete a teammate in Settings, their private data is deleted progressively. Contact our Support team to permanently delete all their private inbox, contacts, and conversations immediately.

  • All data in your team’s account: If you’re sure you’re done using Front, contact our Support team to permanently delete your team’s account data. You can also request an export of all the data in your Front account at any time.
