Attaching images and documents to an email

Edited

Overview

When you need to send an image or document using Front, there are multiple ways to attach the file to your message.

To review how to download or preview attachments, see this article.

Instructions

Drag and drop

You can drag and drop any image or document from your computer into your email composer. Images are attached inline where your cursor is placed.

If you want to drag and drop an image without it being displayed inline, simply hold down the Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows) key on your keyboard while you drag the image into the composer.

Insert inline image

Click the Add image icon to add an inline image from a URL or from your computer. The image will appear in the message body as a visible inline attachment, rather as an attached file you have to preview or download.

Attach from computer or integration

When you're composing an email, select the paper clip icon to attach from your computer, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

Copy/paste

Desktop app only: You can copy/paste files from various desktop sourcesĀ into your email composer.

FAQ
