Create or edit signatures

You can create signatures to make it easy for recipients to verify your identity, contact you, or connect with your team. Any teammate can create personal signatures to use with their individual channels, or admins can create shared signatures for all teammates to use for shared email channels.

Note: Signatures are only for email channels. Other channels like chat, SMS, Instagram, etc. are not supported.

Step 1

Click the gear icon, navigate to workspace or personal settings, then select Signatures in the navigation sidebar.

Step 2

Click Create signature to create a new signature, or select the signature from your list that you'd like to edit.

Step 3

Fill out the fields:

• Name: Internal label for the signature. The name will not appear anywhere on the recipient's end.

• Sender info: Enter the public-facing name you'd like recipients to see. This will appear in the header of emails you send.

• Channel access: Select which channels have access to this signature.

• Text box: Create the signature itself. You can customize the formatting of your signature, add images, use HTML, add a CSAT survey, and more.

Variables can be used in both the Sender info field and within the signature body. For instance, you can use variables so that each teammate will use/see their own name. Check out this article to see the list of variables supported in signatures.

Step 4 

Click Save.

You can switch between signatures while you're composing a message. Click the arrow icon to the right of your signature and use the dropdown to select a signature.

If you don't want to include a signature with your message, hover over the signature in the composer, then click the X icon to remove it.

You can always re-add it to the message or use a different signature by clicking Add signature in the composer.

No. It is not possible to enforce a company-wide signature that teammates can't change.

Only company admins or users with workspace permissions can create shared signatures. All teammates can create their own personal signatures.
