Sort message templates (legacy feature)

Overview

For users of Front who had the older version of message templates before December 14, 2020, admins will retain the ability to choose how they want message templates to be sorted across their organization.

For all new users of Front starting from December 14, message templates will be sorted alphabetically by default, and will not have the following sort options.


Sort options

We've added settings for admin users to choose how they want message templates to be sorted across their organization. The 3 settings are:

  • Alphabetical 
  • Date created
  • Custom - you can manually move message templates in any order you'd like

To access this setting, click the gear icon on the top right of Front and into the Company settings tab. Click Message templates, then into Preferences.

  • We've noticed that, while we have a custom sequence of canned responses, Front is now showing most recently used responses first, which is confusing for our community. Where can we disable showing recent responses? Thanks.

  • Val Sanders Hi there! You should have a "Recent" section (listing 5 responses), and an "All" section just below that. Currently, there's no way to disable this sorting, however, I'll share this feedback with our team.
