How to set up a Sunshine Conversations inbox in Front

Overview

Front's Sunshine Conversations (formerly Smooch) inbox integration allows you to live chat with your customers directly from Front so that all customer interactions occur in one place.

Note: It is not possible for Front users to send/attach images to replies at this time.


Instructions

Step 1

Click the gear icon on the top right of Front and select company, Workspace, or personal settings in the left sidebar, depending on the space you’re working with.

Step 2

Click Inboxes in the left menu and create a new shared inbox or individual inbox.

Step 3

Click Channels in the left menu, then click the Connect a channel button.

Step 4

Under Other, choose Sunshine Conversations and click Connect.

Step 5

Retrieve your Key ID and Secret by navigating to your Sunshine Conversations dashboard, then App configuration. See Sunshine Conversations’ documentation for more information.

Step 6

On the Connect a channel screen in Front, name your channel and copy your ID and Secret into Front.

 Step 7

Click Verify account to finish setting up the Sunshine Conversations inbox.

Step 8

Choose the inbox that conversations will route to and click Save.
